Bhubaneswar:BJP national executive member Bijaya Mopahaptra who has recently resigned from the party is getting closure to Congress giving clear indication that he along with his friend Dilip Ray are soon going to announce their political future.
Mohapatra was seen sharing dais with Odisha Congress president Niranjan Patnaik, here on Monday. He was gracing the Jaikiran Award Ceremony organised by Jaikiran Trust founded by Women Congress president Sumitra Jena.
Both Mohapatra and Ray have been kept the state guessing about the future political move ever since they have left the saffron party.
The Congress president Niranjan has, in fact, send several feelers to the two stalwarts to join his party.
Now after the surprise victory of Congress in three states in the Hindi heartland and the success of Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting in Bhubaneswar, the two veteran politicians are likely to join the age old national political party.
It may be mentioned here that both Mohapatra and Ray had announced that they would take a decision jointly about the future political move. Their joining Congress would certainly change the political equation in the state.
