New Delhi: The ruling BJP seems to be well ahead of rival Congress so far as poll preparations are concerned. The saffron party has already selected an ad. agency for its propaganda into the elections for the Lok Sabha. The party has hired the agency that it engaged during the 2014 elections. The agency has coined the slogan for the BJP campaign: Namumkin Ab Mumkin Hai.
On the other hand, the Congress is yet to select a firm to handle its election publicity. As the two top leaders– Anand Sharma and Jairam Ramesh–of Congress differ, the decision is getting delayed. While Sharma is the chairman of the Congress’ Publicity Committee, Jairam is the coordinato of the party’s core group. Allegations of ad. frims have been shortlisted without the committee members being invited to power point presentation by the advertisement firms and little know firms are being shortlisted have made the decision making process complicated.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi seems to have expressed his displeasure over the delay in selecting an ad firm for the election publicity.
