Bhubaneswar: Odisha is going to host the Commonweath Table Tennis Championship 2019 in July this year.
The Odisha State Table Tennis Association president and state MSME additional chief secretary, LN Gupta, had met the Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation (CTTF) top officials at Budapest on Tuesday and discussed about the preparation for hosting the world class game in the state.
Gupta said that the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship 2019 will be held at Cuttack Barabati Jawahalal Nehru Indore Stadium from July 17 to 22 this year.
Odisha had hosted the National Table Tennis Championship at JN Indoor Stadium in Cuttack in January this year.
Odisha has, in fact, emerged as the sports capital of the country. The state has already hosted two international sports events –Asian Athletics Championship and World Cup Men’s Hockey– at Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneswar.
