New Delhi: Prime minister Narendra Modi has worked out a strategy to end Parliament impasse.
Even though the BJP and for that matter the NDA has come to the Lok Sabha in a brutal majority, the prime minister knows that the opposition has the potential to stall the proceedings of the House and play spoilsport when it comes to passing Bills.
So, Modi is planning to motivate all the MPs to rise above their party line and work unitedly for the interest of the country.
The prime minister has called two meetings to give his new mantra on the eve of the first session of the new Lok Sabha. On June 19 he will meet the Parliamentary Party Group leaders of all the political parties and on June 20 he will meet all the MPs.
The union parliamentary affairs minister, Prahallad Joshi, while briefing media person after the all party meeting, said that the prime minister will meet the Group leaders and also all the MPs to create a conducive atmosphere for conducting the businesses of both the Houses. He said that the prime minister will have a free talks with the Group leaders and the MPs.
The Parliament will meet for 27 days from June 17 to July 26. The full fledged Union Budget for the year 2019-20 will be presented at 11am on July 5. The day before the Budget, Economic Survey would be tabled on July 4.
