Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Wednesday launched 22 industrial projects worth Rs 4461.42 crore. He inaugurated 10 projects and laid the foundation stones for 12 projects. These projects, which were lined up during the Make-in-Odisha conclave, would create job opportunities for 9451 persons.
“These projects will usher in the next era of industrial growth in the State and will continue toward the vision of an industrial prosperous Odisha”, said the chief minister. Odisha has a vision of becoming one of the top three investment destination in the country in terms of grounded investments, he elaborated.
Patnaik said that in the past 20 months alone, we have undertaken ground breaking and inauguration of over 120 industrial units with an investment of Rs92,686 crore in the State with the creation of employment opportunities for over 1.2 lakh persons.
The chief minister also released a coffee table book Make-in-Odisha 2018. Industries minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, chief secretary AP Padhi, development commissioner Asit Tripathy, industries principal secretary Sanjeev Chopra and IDCO CMD Sanjay Singh also spoke on the occasion.
