Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief secretary, Asit Tripathy, has set the deadline for merger of the directorate offices with the concern department and also shifting of the departments to the newly built Kharavela Bhawan in the city.
Following the government’s decision to merge the directorate offices with the concerned departments on August 21, the chief secretary has asked the secretaries put in place the composite departments by October 30,2019.
“The onus of completion of required formalities needs to be attended by the secretaries concerned”, Tripathy has stated in a letter to all the secretaries on August 22,2019. He has stated that the general administrative department is working out several modalities for mergers.
Stating that the newly built Kharavela Bhawan needs to be fully functional with all departments moving into the premises by August 31, 2019, Tipathy has asked the secretaries to take steps for shifting of their offices to the new building.
