The Odisha government has removed Dhruba Charan Sahoo, the additional government advocate in the State Educational Tribunal for allegedly financial irregularities.
It was alleged that Sahoo was claiming daily allowances from the government even while there was no sitting of the tribunal. Sahoo has submitted bills for period when the presiding officer of the tribunal was on leave, when tribunal was not functioning due to lawyers strikes.
After verifying the allegations of financial irregularities, the State law department has disengaged Sahoo from his service in the tribunal.
