Bhubaneswar: The Oversight Authority headed by justice AK Patnaik has expressed its satisfaction over the implementation of projects under Odisha Mineral Bearing Area Development Corporation (OMBADC).
” I have visited different area in Kendujhar, Sunergarh and Mayurbhanj districts at different point of times and have seen that OMBADC projects moving fast at ground level”, said justice Patnaik in the meeting which was held here on Friday.
The Friday meeting sanctioned new projects workers 1,700 crore. It also decided for setting up of district level cells to monitor the projects.
Justice Patnaik launched the OMBADC websites on this occasion.
The meeting decided to include the adjoining blocks of Dhenkanal, Angul, Deogarh and Jharsududa those are affected due to mining operations under the OMBADC.
OMBADC chief executive officer Uma Nadnduri said that 15 projects worth Rs10,014. 33 crore in 7 priority sectors have been approved. The projects are in health, education, supply of safe drinking water, skill development, water conservation and livelihood promotion. She said the projects are in different stages of completions.
Development commissioner Suresh Mohapatra, additional chief secretary rural development Pradeep Jena, chief secretary forest and environment Mona Sharma and principal secretary finance AK Meena were present.
