New Delhi: The government of India has extended the last date of filing the IT returns for the assessment year 2018-19 till June 30, 2020.
Addressing a presser union finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman and minister of state Anrag Thakur said the relaxation has been given in view of the unprecedented situation prevailing in the country due the outbreak of COVID-19.

The penalty for delayed TDS filing has been reduced to 9%.
The GST filing deadline for the months of March, April and May has been extended till June 30, 2020.
Debit Card holders can now withdraw money from any bank ATM free of charges for three months till June 30,2020.
There would be no charges for not having minimum balance in bank for three months till June 30, 2020.
