Bhubneswar: India’s most wanted COVID-19 Lockdown violeter Maulana Saad has an Odisha connection.
Maulana Saad was in Odisha on 3rd March 2020.
Maulana Said presided over the three-day Aalami ijtema, an international level religious conference of Muslims at Brahmabarda in Jajpur district early in March , this year. He prayed and addressed the gathering on the concluding day on 3rd March.
An estimated over one lakh people including foreign delegates from selected five countries attended this conference held second time in the State. Earlier, the State hosted first such conference in 1996. The conference, considered as one of the major annual congregations of Muslims in the Muslims of world. Several noted Islamic scholars from Odisha and outside addressed the conference.
Maulana Saad of Delhi conducted ‘mass dua’ the final prayer, before conclusion of the conference.
The other prominent Islamic scholars addressed the gathering include Maulana Yusuf, Maulana Abdul Bari, Mufti Zabir and Md Moquim.
The Bramhabarada congregation of Muslims, which concluded just a few days before the Odisha government declared the Statewide Lockdown in view of the Coronavirus declared a pandemic, was attended by over 300 delegates from five countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Kazhakisthan, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
