Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Police DGP, Abhay, has appealed the Maoists to surrender before the police.
The DGP in his official Twitter has said, “We appeal all Maoists operating in Odisha to surrender and join national mainstream. Odisha government has very generous surrender and rehabilitation policy for them.”
The Kandhmal police under the leadership of district SP Pratik Singh had achieved a major success on Sunday in an operation against Maoist. In a gun fight the police had killed four Maoists and seized huge quantity of arms and ammunitions from the Maoist camp in Tumudibandh forest in Kandhmal district of the State.
DGP Abhay, IG operation Amitabh Thakur and Southern range DIG Satyabrata Bhoi had rushed to Tumudibandh to supervise the combing operation that followed the police raid on the camp Sunday morning.
