Mumbai: The CBI has filed case against Rhea Chakraborty and five others in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The others booked are Rhea’s father Indrajit Chakraborty, mother Sandhya Choakraborty, brother Shouwik Chakraborty and house manager Samuel Miranda.
The CBI, which has taken over the case from Bihar government, has booked the six for abetment to suicide, theft, illegal confinement and criminal intimidation.
CBI joint director Manoj Sashidhar heading the special team which will investigate into Sushant’s death case. The FBI team is currently investigating into Vijaya Mallya multi million rupees fraud case.
Meanwhile, Reha’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde has objected to the CBI probe into the case pointing out that the case is now in Supreme Court. Bihar has no jurisdiction to probe the case. Moreover, the Maharashtra government has not given its consent for CBI probe, the lawyer pointed out.
