New Delhi: President of India has changed the governors of 8 States with some new appointments.
Drupadi Murmu’s extended governorship has come to an end with Tripura governor Ramesh Bais has been appointed as new governor of Jharkhand. Murmu, a prominent BJP tribal leade from Odisha was first pick up by prime minister Narendra Modi soon after he became PM in 2014. The tribal women leader to become a governor was on extension after expiry of her 5 year term.
Union minister Thawarchand Gehlot has been sent as governor of Karnataka. Similarly, Mangubhai Chaganbhai Patel has been appointed as governor of Madhya Pradesh.
The List of New Governors:
- Mzoram governor PS Sreedharan Pillai has been transferred and appointed as governor of Goa.
2. Haryana governor Satyadev Narayan Arya has been transferred and appointed as governor of Tripura.
3. Tripura governor Ramesh Bais has betransferred and appointed as governor of Jharkhand.
4. Union minister Thawarchand Gehlot has been appointed as the governor of Karnataka.
5. Himachal Pradesh governor Bandaru Dattatraya has been transferred and appointed as governor of Haryana.
6. Hari Babu Kambhampati has been appointed as the governor of Mizoram.
7. Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel has been appointed as the governor of Madhya Pradesh.
