Bhubaneswar : Odisha’s Mohan Majhi government has initiated the process of declaring as many as 57 towns in the State as NAC (Notified Area Council).

The State housing & urban development department (H&UD) has, in fact, reminded the district collectors to send proposals for declaration of towns under their district as NAC.

The towns to be declared as NAC are Begunia, Bolgarh & Tangi in Khurda district, Sakhigopal & Kakatpur (Puri), Salepur, Badamba, Narsinghpur & Niali (Cuttack), Binjharpur, Panikoili, Jarka & Chandikhol (Jajpur), Kujanga (Jagatsingpur), Kukudakhandi & Seragarh (Ganjam), Parjang & Rasol (Dhenkanal), Jaypatna, Madan Rampur & Narla (Kalahandi), Pallahara & Chendipada (Angul), Loisinga, Sindikela, Belpada & Saintala ( Balangir), Basta, Simulia, Baliapal & Khaira (Balasore), Paikmal, Bheden & Sohela (Bargarh), Agarpada & Dhamra (Bhadrak), Kantamal, Manmunda, Baunsuni & Puruna Katak (Boudh), Raikia in Kandhmal, Boriguma (Koraput), Betanati (Mayurbhanj), Kantilo & Sarankula (Nayagarh), Sinapali in Nuapada, Muniguda, Chandili & Bisam Cuttack (Rayagada), Rengali & Bamra (Sambalpur), Bonei in Sundergarh, Subaliya, Rampur, Ulanda, Dungripalli & Birmarajpur ( Subarnapur),Bamra🤣& Rengali (Sambalpur).
