Bhubaneswar: The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, found himself in an embarrassing situation as at least seven ministers in his new cabinet found that their portfolio has also been allotted to another minister.
The ministers are of Minister of State (MoS) cadres.
Odisha’s Balasore MP Pratap Sarangi flabbergasted when he found that his Animal Husbandry portfolio has also been allotted to MoS Sanjeev Kumar Balyan.
Similarly, G Krishna Reddy found that his home portfolio is no his exclusive one. Nitryananda Rai has also got the same portfolio.
Ramdas Atawale was allotted the ministry of social justice and empowerment. But, he found that he was not alone to get this portfolio. Ratanlal Khataria and Krishan Pal have also got the same portfolio.
In Odisha too, there was goof up in cabinet portfolio distribution. Cabinet minister Prafulla Mallick was allotted the MoS portfolio of Home. While the chief minister holds the home portfolio, Mallick was his MoS. But, it was pointed out that a cabinet minister can not hold the MoS portfolio, the home portfolio was allotted to MoS Dibya Sankar Mishra.
