Bhubaneswar: The Single Window Authority, which met under the chairmanship of chief secretary AP Padhi, here on Tuesday, cleared 7 investment proposals in logistic park, food processing, plastic and pellet manufacturing sectors worth Rs.1035.99 crore. The projects would generate employment opportunity for 2778 persons.
The KAI International Pvt. Ltd. is proposing to set up a Iron Ore Beneficiation and Pellet Plant and benefaction plant with an investment of Rs 265.72 crore. The plant in Sundergarh district will create job opportunity for 475 persons. Chalah Infratech Pvt. Ltd. is going to set up a Logistic Park in Khorda district with an investment of Rs.99.40 crore. The Park will generate employment opportunity for 243 persons.
Two food processing plants will come up in Khorda district. While the Thailand based Intecqc Feed Co. Ltd. is planning for a prawn processing unit with an investment of Rs 107.88 crore, the Explore Food is proposing to set up a Ready -to-Snacks unit with a capital outlay of Rs 51.40 crore. The two units employ 400 persons.
Supreme Industries will set up a plastic pipe & PVC tank unit in Khorda district with an investment of Rs 151.30 crore. The project has the potential to engage 320 persons. The Bhagirathi Packaging, an associate company of Fogla Group, to set up polypropylene ( PP) woven bags production unit in Bhadrakh district with an investment of Rs 60.29 crore. The employment opportunity would be for 500 people.
The Mayfair Hotel & Resorts Ltd. of Dilip Ray is going to have a Convention Centre of 4000 capacity at Bhubaneswar at a cost of Rs 300 crore. The project will employ 850 people.
Development Commissioner Asit Kumar Tripathy, additional chief secretary forest and environment Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and industries principal secretary Sanjeev Chopra participated in the discussions. The chief general manager of IPICOL Kalyan Mohanty presented the financial and technical details of the projects in the meeting.
