Bhubaneswar: Asit Tripathy Monday took over as the new chief secretary of Odisha. The 1986-batch IAS officer took charge of the office from Aditya Prasad Padhi who has assumed the charge of State Election Commissioner of Odisha.
Asit, who is known as a highly efficient officer, has already flagged off his priorities. He would focus on Naveen Patnaik’s 5Ts mantra to bring in timely transformation in the administration as well as development and welfare adhering to strict transparency. Industrialisation and creation of more jobs will be his focus areas.
The former chief secretary, AP Padhi, took over as the State Election Commissioner from Naba Kumar Nayak. After taking charge, Padhi said that he will make efforts not to hamper the dignity of the post.
