Bhubaneswar: News World Odisha TV channel has gone off the air from Wednesday.
The Odia language new channel was first started by the Naveen Jindal company. However, later the management of the channel went to BJD former Lok Sabha MP RK Jena. Following Jena’s defeat in the last general elections, it was speculated that the channel will be closed down.
The channel chief editor, Bhakta Tripathy, however, has said that the channel will soon resume telecast. He said that the channel has been temporarily gone off the air as it is going to be presented with repackaged the contents.
Tripathy said that the job of all the 185 employees of the channel are secured and their salaries are protected. He assured that all the all of them will continue in the roll till the channel resume operations.
