Bhubaneswar: The Odisha higher education minister, Arun Sahu, Thursday directed the officials and employees of higher education directorate to clear the files of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the colleges as soon as possible. He said, now that the college teachers and employees are not coming to the directorate and disturbing them, they should show their efficiency in clearing the files.
The minister, who made a surprise visit to the directorate at 10 am today, found many of the officials and staff are not coming on time. His visit to the directorate has created panic among the staff who are habitually coming late to the office. The minister, of course, found from the bio-matric attendance system that many officials and employees though come to the office little late but they used to stay till late in the evening. He stressed on the 5Ts of chief minister Naveen Patnaik and adivsed them to to come to the office on time and address the grievances of the college teachers and employees with priority.
