Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government suspended two engineers each of energy and rural development departments for Sunday bus tragedy where in 10 people electrocuted.
At a high level meeting chaired by energy minister Dibya Sankar Mishra the probe report was discussed and it was decided to place under suspension the Southco electrical junior engineer Debendr Nayak and assistant engineers BR Mohapatra. The government has also suspendedd a junior engineer and a assistant engineer of rural development department.
The bus, carrying over 50 passengers of Dunkalpadu village, came across a hanging 11kv live wire on Sunday afternoon at Mendrajpur square near Golanthara and got charged. While 10 passengers were killed and 40 others were admitted to Berhampur MKCG Medical College with serious burn injuries.
