Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Friday suspended a doctor for violating COVID-19 rules.
The government has placed under suspension Dr. Lalit Behera the doctor of Odisha State Assembly zonal dispensary with immediate effect.
The State health & family welfare department has said that Dr.Behera has been placed under suspension pending a disciplinary proceedings against him.
Dr. Behera had treated a patient with symptom of COVID-19 infection. However, he did not report the matter to the government. The patient was found to have COVID-19 positive on Thursday.
