Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Friday brought out the government resolution and the rules for implementation of the 7th Pay Commission salary in the state. This would hastened the procedure to implement the revised salary with an aim to disburse the enhanced salary to its 4 lakh employees on September 26, just before the Puja Vacation starts.
The state cabinet has already accorded its approval to the report of the fitment committee headed by development commissioner R Balakrishnan. The fitment committee has almost recommended on line with the Central government pay structure.
India Whispers was told by state finance department sources that the resolution and the rules would pave the way for disbursement of revised salary to the employees from this month.
With the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission recommendation, the state government would get on an average 23% hike on their present salary.
