Bhubaneswar: Odisha government Wednesday promoted senior IAS officer Sanjeev Chopra to the rank of additional chief secretary. Chopra, who is now the principal secretary home and special secretary general administration got in situ promotion.
Tourism secretary Vishal Dev, food supply and consumer welfare secretary. Vir Vikram Yadav and higher education secretary Saswat Mishra have been given in situ promotion to the rank of principal secretary.
The government has given in situ elevation to super time scale to OMC managing director R Vineel Krishna, animal husbandry director Ratnakar Rout, Odisha Assembly secretary Dasarathi Satpathy, additional secretary home Prafulla Chandra Pradhan, excise commissioner Anjan Kumar Manik, additional secretary rural development Benudhar Behera, additional secretary housing and urban development Suresh Chandra Dalai and additional secretary planning & convergence Debendra Kumar Jena.
The government accorded senior grade scale to 12 IAS officers. Project director OSEPA Bhupinder Singh Points, managing director Odisha State Medicine Corporation Yamini Sarangi agriculture director M Muthukumar, director drinking water & sanitation B Parameswaran, director ST Guha Poonam Tapash Kumar, additional secretary tourism Maguni Charan Patra, director higher secondary education Brundaban Behera, secretary to RDC Dhananjay Hembram, Odisha State Housing Board secretary Gangadhar Patra, additional secretary ST & SC Development,Pabitra Mandal, Odisha Human Rights Commission secretary Sunil Kumar Nayak, and additional secretary steel & mines Batakrushna Dehury were promoted to senior grade scale. On promotion they will continue in their present position.
Seven IAS officers have been promoted to junior administrative grade. The officers are Gajapati collector Anupam Saha, Sundergarh collector Nikhil Pavan Kalyan, deputy secretary P &C Manish Agarwal, Mayurbhanj collector Vineet Bhardwaj, Nayagarh collector Poma Tudu, director fisheries Smruti Ranjan Pradhan, deputy secretary finance Sidhartha Das.
