Bhubaneswar: Odisha government is set to recruit over a lakh persons in various government departments in a major recruitment drive in coming two years.
The government, which has already obtained permission for recruitment to 90,465 posts, has sought for another 26,530 posts. The government is soon going to sent requisition for another 5,244 posts. Out of the first phase 90,465 posts, the government has already filled up 46,500 posts. Similarly, in the block level 6409 posts out of 10,964 sanctioned have been filled up.
To expedite the recruitment process and monitoring the training programme, the chief minister,Naveen Patnaik, Thursday unveiled a official recruitment portal. Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister has directed all the concerned authorities to upload all the information regarding the recruitment on the portal.
He said that to bring in transparency in the recruitment process, the government has started a transparent counseling process in the first posting. He stressed on the enhancement of the soft skill of the of the new recruits during the training period.
Expressing concern over delay in recruitment due to legal problem, Patnaik said that the advocate general be consulted to avoid legal complicity.
Chief secretary AP Padhi, advocate general Surya Prasad Mishra, secretaries of various departments and representatives of various commissions were present on the occasion.
The chief minister handed over appointment letters to 169 homeopathic doctors and 50 ayurvedic doctors on Thursday.
The state public service commission has recommended names of 263 homeopathic doctors and 179 ayurvedic doctors for recruitment in Class II(Group-B) scale.
