Bhubaneswar: Surendra Nath Tripathy, a 1985 batch Odisha cadre IAS officer, has been appointed as the union parliamentary affairs secretary.
Tripathi was special secretary and financial adviser in the ministry of agriculture.
Tripathi has earned a name as the principal secretary rural development. Going on on Central deputation in 2013, he served the union MSME department as development commissioner. His initiatives in union MSME department has been widely hailed in the ministry.
