Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government Tuesday signed an MoU with the AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, to extend quality healthcare services for economically-backward patients under its flagship Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).
The MoU was signed between the hospital and the state Health and Family Welfare Department in presence of health minister Naba Kishore Das, secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda, and AIIMS Bhubaneswar, director Gitanjali Batmanabane.
As per the agreement, the premier hospital will provide free treatment services to needy patients under the Naveen Patnaik government’s flagship programme BSKY.
Since the launching of the BSKY on August 15, 2019, the state government has empanelled 196 private hospital to extend free heath service to the beneficiaries.
